Julian Piekarczyk, formerly with Pruco Securities, Subject of FINRA Complaint

Piekarczyk. FINRA filed a complaint against Piekarczyk regarding allegations while he was affiliated with Pruco Securities
Piekarczyk was being investigated regarding allegations that he had his wife named as a beneficiary of a customer’s investment products, and he also had his wife named as a joint account holder of the customer’s bank account. Pruco Securities prohibited this conduct, after Piekarczyk initially told Pruco that he was going to be the beneficiary. After the customer died, Piekarczyk and his wife received $146,000 from the deceased’s products and bank account.
Julian Piekarczyk was a registered representative and financial advisor with Pruco Securities from 1991 to July 2018. He worked out of a branch office in Joliet, Illinois. Piekarczyk has also been the subject of at least one customer complaint.
Broker-dealers like Pruco Securities have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm, including investments sold by their registered representatives. Broker-dealers also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations. When broker-dealers fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
