Fraud Alert: Thomas Renison and Barry Horowitz of Connecticut

Israels & Neuman Law Firm Continues Investigation of Barry Horowitz, formerly of Lincoln Financial Securities Corp., and Thomas Renison

Have you invested with financial advisor Barry David Horowitz (CRD# 2651525), formerly with Lincoln Financial Securities Corp. in Glastonbury, Connecticut?  We are continuing to look into allegations made against Barry Horowitz and Thomas Renison, who allegedly referred customers to invest in ARO Equity LLC.

Criminal charges have now been brought against Thomas Allcott of Peabody, Massachusetts and Thomas David Renison of Glastonbury, Connecticut.  It was alleged that Allcott and Renison committed wire fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy in connection with ARO Equity.  Renison’s son, Thomas James Renison, was also alleged to have sold investments in ARO Equity. 

Barry Horowitz was a registered representative of Lincoln Financial Securities Corp. from 1995 to August 2018 in Glastonbury, Connecticut.  Thomas James Renison was a representative of Horace Mann Investors from February 2016 to March 2018 in Wethersfield, Connecticut. 

Brokerage firms like Lincoln Financial Securities Corp. and Horace Mann Investors have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
