Israels & Neuman, PLC Investigates Robert Hinz, Jr. of VSR Financial Services
Have you lost money with financial advisor Robert M. Hinz, Jr. (CRD# 1026405) of VSR Financial Services (CRD# 14503) of Seattle, Washington? We are investigating allegations of former customers related to Bob Hinz. Bob Hinz’s CRD report, a public record maintained by FINRA, states that Hinz has been the subject of seven customer complaints and FINRA arbitration lawsuits.
Specifically, Robert Hinz’s CRD contains the following allegations:
- One former client alleged fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and negligence regarding the sale of real estate investments, private placements, oil and gas investments, options, and variable annuities, and the case settled for $240,000 (VSR paid $230,000 and Hinz paid $10,000);
- Another former client alleged violations of the Securities Act of Washington and the Washington Consumer Protection Act regarding the sale of real estate investments, private placements, and options, and the case settled for $18,500 (VSR paid $13,500 and Hinz paid $5,000);
- At least three other customers have made allegations of misrepresentation regarding the sale of private placements, including Reef Oil and Gas.
Robert Hinz, Jr. was a registered representative of VSR Financial Services from 1994 to July 2016. He previously worked at a branch office in Seattle, Washington.
Brokerage firms like VSR Financial have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm. Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies. When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
