WARNING!  William Scholander and Talman Harris from New York, New York

 

Have you lost money with financial advisor William Scholander of New York, New York?  We are investigating allegations made by FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, against William J. Scholander. FINRA suspended Scholander from the securities industry for six months regarding allegations that he failed to properly disclose a customer complaint on his Form U-4.  The complaint alleged that William Scholander made unauthorized trades.  Scholander was also fined $50,000.

 

FINRA also brought an action against Talman Harris, alleging that he failed to adequately supervise Scholander.  FINRA alleged that Harris was aware of the customer complaint, discussed it with Scholander, but failed to disclose it to compliance personnel at his brokerage firm, Radnor Research & Trading Company.

 

William Scholander was a financial advisor and registered representative of Radnor Research & Trading Company from May 2011 to January 2015.  He worked at a branch office in New York, New York.  Scholander was also previously barred by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).  Scholander previously worked with at least 10 other brokerage firms, and nine of those firms are no longer in the securities industry.

 

Talman Harris was also a financial advisor and registered representative of Radnor Research & Trading Company from May 2011 to January 2015.  He also worked at a branch office in New York, New York.  Both Harris and Scholander were terminated by Radnor Research & Trading Company for this conduct.

 

Brokerage firms like Radnor Research & Trading Company have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
