Daeil Ro, formerly of Merrill Lynch, Barred by Washington Securities Division for Five Years
Have you lost money with financial advisor Daeil Dave Ro from Tacoma and Federal Way, Washington? We are continuing our investigation allegations made against Ro. The Washington Division of Securities brought a regulatory complaint against Daeil Dave Ro, alleging that in 2002, he solicited an investor to invest $2 million in a purported real estate venture in South Korea.
Washington alleged that the property in South Korea was managed by Daeil Ro’s father, Myung Ro. It was alleged that shortly after this purported investment, Myung Ro diverted $320,000 of the $2 million to purchase a home for himself, his wife, Daiel, and Daiel’s wife, in Kent, Washington. It was further alleged that Daeil and Myung then conspired to hire this diversion for years.
Daeil Ro was a registered representative and financial advisor with Merrill Lynch from May 1999 to September 2003. He was also affiliated with:
Morgan Stanley from September 2003 to August 2005;
Waddell & Reed from October 2005 to November 2006;
Citigroup Global Markets from November 2006 to June 2009;
Morgan Stanley again from June 2009 to April 2012; and
Ameriprise Financial Services from April 2012 to June 2016.
Ro operated branch offices in Federal Way, Tacoma, and Bellevue, Washington.
