CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA – Have you lost money with financial advisor Eric J. Dade, formerly of ProEquities in Charlotte, North Carolina? We are looking into allegations made against Eric Dade, who has been the subject of three (3) customer complaints, two which was filed in 2021. The customers alleged that Dade sold them unsuitable BDCs (business development companies) and REITs (real estate investment trusts). The customers allege a combined $245,000 in damages from the BDCs and REITs.
Eric Dade was a registered representative of ProEquities from June 2010 to May 2016. He has been with Bankers Life from May 2016 to the present. He has worked at branch offices in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Brokerage firms like ProEquities have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm. Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies. When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
