Israels & Neuman, PLC Investigates Gary Imel, Formerly of Kalos Capital and Ameriprise Financial Services

Have you lost money with financial advisor Gary L. Imel (CRD# 254765), formerly of Kalos Capital and Ameriprise Financial Services, in Gig Harbor, Washington?  We are investigating allegations of former customers related to Gary Imel. Gary Imel’s BrokerCheck report, a public record maintained by FINRA, states that Imel has been the subject of two customer complaints, which make allegations about sales of GPB Capital and non-traded REITs (real estate investment trusts). The customers allege significant damages in GPB and the non-traded REITs. 

Gary Imel was a registered representative of Kalos Capital from June 2014 to August 2017.  He was also with Ameriprise Financial Services from August 2017 to October 2018.  Imel has worked in offices in Gig Harbor, Washington.

Brokerage firms like Kalos Capital have a responsibility to adequately supervise all representatives who are registered through their firm.  Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.  When brokerage firms fail to adequately supervise their registered representatives, they may be liable for investment losses sustained by customers.
